Why will my gas boiler not fire up?
Why will my gas boiler not fire up?
Some boilers won’t ignite if the gas or water pressure is too low. Low gas pressure could be a problem with supply in the area and you may need to call out the supplier to check. Alternatively, it may be that the water pressure is too low in a sealed system boiler.
Where can I find the Weil McLain boiler owner’s manual?
Your owner’s manual: Weil McLain boiler owner’s manuals contain helpful information about system operation, troubleshooting and problem resolution. That’s a good first place to start when something doesn’t seem right. Most Weil McLain manuals can be found online, even if the unit is 15+ years old.
What’s the error code on my Weil McLain?
It has been operating flawlessly for about a year now. The error code it is getting is E 02, which is failure to fire after 5 tries. I can see spark, and it is getting gas (smell and I can see the gas meter move when it tries to ignite). I spent some time on the phone with a Weil Mclain support tech. He diagnosed it as a control module.
Why is my Weil McLain boiler making noises?
Insufficient water pressure will prevent the boiler from creating enough hot water to adequately heat your home. Adding make-up water will solve it, but the goal is to determine the cause of low pressure in the system. An early clue of low water pressure, besides insufficient heat, is the boiler making popping and/or rattling noises.
When to move a Weil McLain thermostat?
If the system is new, and the house is too hot, check to see if your home’s thermostat is installed on an outside wall, near a drafty window or by an entry door, and if any of those apply, it will have to be moved
