Nofollow

A command, either in the header of a web page or in a single link code, that tells search engines not to follow links on the page or on a specific link.

A link type that is marked so that no link value is passed from the web page containing the link to the web page to which the link leads. This is a website owner's way of letting search engines know that even though the link appears on their website, they do not approve of the inserted link.
