Is the pressure clean flushometer on my Kohler toilet working?

My Kohler toilet with model #81100 “Pressure Clean Flushometer” stopped working yesterday – I get very little pressure out of a flush. I read up on this model – apparently it was made for 1 year, no replacement parts available anymore. Oh yeah – it also has a history of exploding. I guess I’m lucky that it’s worked for me this long (9 years).

The only coverage Kohler is giving on “their” older version of the pressure assist toilet is the $125 replacement tank upgrading to the Sloan Flushmate.
