Answered by ps700: check and make sure its not just your pop off valve. usually they are lolcated on the side of water heaters but some are located on the top. many times those fail and leak sporadically! if thats not wet then the tank has sprung a leak!!! hopefully the drain pan under the water heater has the drain hooked up!
