How do you prime a soap dispenser pump?
To prime the pump
- Use your thumb or finger to cover the hole at the bottom of the dispenser where the soap gets dispensed out of.
- While still covering the hole, push the button all the way in. While still covering the hole, let the button depress naturally.
- All done! Now, try dispensing the soap by pushing the button.
How can I reuse my foaming soap dispenser?
Here’s what you do:
- Choose soap. Anything, really, will do… body wash, hand soap, whatever you have on hand.
- Put water and soap into the container. (About 4/5th full of water and the other 5th soap for a 4:1 ratio water to soap.)
- Gently shake!
- You have foaming soap! Voila!

An easy check if your soap dispenser has the same issue that I am trying to fix here, is by pouring a little bit of water over the top of the pump.
