Bearded Dragon Eye Drops - How To Discuss

Bearded Dragon Eye Drops

What eye drops can be used on a bearded dragon? 3

I'm sure my bearded dragon blew his eyes out because he didn't open them all day, and from what I've read, I can give him eye drops to help him. So which eye drops should I use? Can I use drops that I use myself when I don't have contact lenses, or that I use when I have contact lenses, or drops? Especially for the bearded dragon?

update

No dirt or itching, just covered. I'm pretty sure it's just sand, not an infection I know.

And yes, he is eating and doing very well and is a little active.

If you suspect that the only reason it is painful is because you have not opened it, then your real eye may not be the problem. If you see itching, pus or swelling around your eyes, it could be a type of eye infection, but if these symptoms are not present, your ultraviolet dragon will not work. Sunglo / Reptiglo Onion Komodo Dragon is known to close its eyes for no reason. The only reliable lamps are Reptisun 10 in US / CAa and Arcadia 10 in UK.

Is your dragon active, does it eat regularly?

Edit: OK Doc, glad to hear you're fine. As far as I know, human droplets are not the best for dragons. You can try washing it off with water if you really want to, but I suggest waiting until tomorrow to see if there is still a problem and if so take it to the doctor.

If it's just sand, then your eyes should remove the sand the way our eyes do, using tears to clean the eyes. Foolishly, he put sand in there from the beginning. Bears have small eyes around their eyes to keep the sand away, just like we have eyelids.

Is there any itching or itching around the eyes? I may have an eye infection or maybe sand ... I know people can't use drops (like eyesight etc.), but can be wiped off with salt or warm water. Wet a Qtip and rub it gently out of your eye and see if it helps. If you have an infection, you will need eye drops for a doctor. I have a leopard lizard that has an eye infection and I treat it with salty and gentamicin eye drops (under prescription). In fact, the drops are also used on humans, so my doctor asked for a certificate from a local pharmacy. So much cheaper ... more expensive to buy online on the PetMed website! pe she helped and she's fine :) good!

You should see a veterinarian to have your eyes examined. Although I'm a bearded dragon, I've never heard of human eye drops.

You can also ask this question and get help.

I'm with Kirsten. Closing your eyes is almost always a sign of bad UVB. Take a look at the lamps you recommend.

Otherwise, you can wash your eyes with saline solution. The saline solution you use to wash your contact lenses will solve the problem. When trying to remove dirt from the eye, avoid dripping, but squeeze the solution and wash the eye thoroughly. It will bother you, but it will not hurt you at all.

You can remove the sand and use a strong surface, such as paper towels or tiles, to prevent door problems.
